All deaths that occur in the Town of Eden are filed with the Town Clerk. Our death records go back to 1883. Certified copies are provided for $10 per copy (cash, check, money order or credit card, user fees will apply) payable to: Eden Town Clerk, to an eligible person or family member. Application forms are available from the Town Clerk’s office or this website.

A certified copy or a certified transcript of a death certificate may be issued only:

• To the spouse, parent, sibling or child of the deceased;
• To a person with a New York State Court Order issued on a showing of necessity for the confidential medical information
