The Town of Eden is actively seeking residents that are interested in getting involved with our Emergency Management Team. This is mainly a volunteer position that assists the Town Supervisor and Board in the event of an emergency within our town. Examples of emergencies are; weather related events, including snow, flooding and high winds, preparation for large events such as the Eden Corn Festival, and any mass casualty or large threat to the Town. Preference will be giving to trained emergency services workers/volunteers, including but not limited to Firefighters, EMS/EMT, Police (reserve or paid), dispatchers and any person trained as a first responder. Desired qualifications include; good communication skills, team player, able to work well under stressful situations and someone trained in emergency management.
