With the extreme hot weather this week, please practice heat safety and check up on your neighbors:  

Drink plenty of water, non-alcoholic and decaffeinated fluids

If you’re working in the heat, take breaks in the shade.

Check up on the elderly, sick and those without air conditioning.

Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.

Limit strenuous outdoor activities outside.

The dangerous heat and humidity is expected to last through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
